Who planned the attack?
Winston Churchill was the main planner of the Gallipoli campaign. He wanted to make a difference in World War one but this campaign became one of the most colossal failures ever. He had managed his troops very badly during this battle, sending three naval only attacks in a row, then calling endlessly for more troops to help the attack from the ANZACs, when in the end he retreated all of the successful remaining soldiers . This was a very careless move, losing over 50, 000 troops during the battle. Although Winston succeeded greatly in World War 2 and became a very famous man for Britain, by winning the war, this first campaign was a disappointment to all of the Allies. (Cameron, 2011).
